Catphan 600 CT Phantom
The Catphan 600 is a modular CT phantom for maximum performance characterization of multi-slice CT scanners. It consists of five modules in a 20 cm housing, covering slice geometry, sensitometry, high resolution, low-contrast detectability, and uniformity. Its expanded sensitometry set makes it suitable for radiotherapy CT sensitometry, and its integrated mount with built-in leveling supports fast, repeatable daily QA on any scanner. Supplied by Meditronix Corporation in India.
Key Features:
- Five modules in a compact 20 cm housing: CTP404, CTP591, CTP528, CTP515, and CTP486
- Eight sensitometry targets for CT number linearity, suited to radiotherapy CT
- Opposed 23 degree wire ramps for precise slice thickness measurement
- Bead ramps for slice width, slice sensitivity profile, and table incrementation
- High-resolution gauge up to 21 line pairs per cm
- Five acrylic spheres (2, 4, 6, 8, and 10 mm) for subslice contrast evaluation
- Solid-image uniformity module that avoids water-tank variability
- Gantry angle verification of up to 10 degrees using ramp length ratios
- Universal mount with built-in level to reduce table artifacts
- Smári cloud-based analysis for automated evaluation and trend tracking
Test Capabilities:
- Slice geometry, slice width (thin and thick), and sensitivity profile
- Sensitometry and CT number linearity
- Pixel (matrix) size and circular symmetry
- High resolution, MTF, and point spread function
