FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Ensure that the mounting rails are free of debris and properly aligned. Gently slide accessories into place until you feel a click. If it still feels loose, check for worn locking tabs and replace them as needed.
To correct slight tilting or unevenness of the baseplate on the treatment couch, first ensure the couch top is level. If the baseplate still tilts, adjust its leveling feet (if available) or use the provided shims under the low corner. Always confirm leveling with a spirit level before patient setup.
To clean and disinfect the baseplate, use a mild, non-abrasive hospital-grade disinfectant. Avoid alcohol-based or solvent cleaners as they can damage the plastic. Rinse with water and dry thoroughly to prevent residue build-up.
Superficial scratches are normal with regular use and generally don’t impact functionality. Only deep gouges or cracks that compromise structural integrity require repair or replacement.
The MRI baseplate supports up to 200 kg (440 lb) uniformly distributed. Exceeding this may risk structural deformation and increased image artifacts.
Store in a clean, dry area away from strong magnetic fields. Use the custom‑fit foam case to prevent accidental drops or contact with metallic objects that could magnetize parts over time.
Yes. Klarity MRI baseplates are made from radiolucent, non-ferromagnetic composites and are certified for use in MR environments up to 3.0T. Always refer to the IFU (Instructions for Use) for model-specific MR safety documentation.
